Job Description:

Accounts Payable & General Ledger Executive position in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable and general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

Job Responsibility:

Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Prepare and post journal entries
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Support month-end and year-end closing processes

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable and general ledger functions
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

Knowledge of e-invoicing is an added advantage
