Job Description:

We are looking to fill an Accounts Payable Specialist role located in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, with duties involving the processing of accounts payable and other financial transactions. You will be part of a team that serves over 300 employees and their vendors.

Job Responsibility:

Process approximately 150 accounts payable transactions per week
Assist in the maintenance of accurate financial records
Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner
Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
Learn and adapt to new accounting procedures and systems
Assist with other accounting functions such as account coding, accrual accounting, and auditing
Utilize accounting software systems effectively, including ADP - Financial Services and Concur
Be willing to cross-train in other areas such as accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger work
Contribute to the team's mission of serving the community effectively and efficiently

Requirements:

Proficiency in Account Coding
Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Proficiency in using Concur
Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
Must have a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions
Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
Proficiency in Accrual Accounting
Previous experience in Auditing
Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH)

Nice to have:

Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Proficiency in using Concur
Previous experience in Auditing
