Job Description:

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Egg Harbor Twp, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for various accounting functions within our team. Your main tasks will revolve around handling customer credit applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries related to accounts payable.

Job Responsibility:

Handle matching, batching, and coding of invoices in an efficient manner
Utilize accounting software systems to process customer credit applications
Maintain and update customer credit records with high accuracy
Address and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable
Leverage ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient accounting operations
Ensure compliance with accrual accounting principles in all transactions
Conduct auditing activities as per the established guidelines
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis tasks
Use Concur for travel and expense management

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, or a similar financial position
Proficiency in account coding and understanding of its various applications
Familiarity with accounting software systems and ability to adapt to new technologies
Experience with ADP - Financial Services is highly desirable
Proficiency in using Concur for expense management
Ability to handle a variety of accounting functions with accuracy and efficiency
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
Understanding of accrual accounting principles and their application in a business context
Experience in auditing, with an emphasis on financial audits

Nice to have:

Experience with ADP - Financial Services
