Job Description:

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Midland, Texas. As an integral part of our team, you will be involved in a variety of tasks such as processing invoices, creating and reviewing service entry sheets, and interacting with various departments to provide support. This role also includes the responsibility of maintaining familiarity with our policies, guidelines, and procedures while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Efficiently process both PO and Non-PO invoices for payment in VIM/SAP
  • Create and review service entry sheets in VIM/SAP
  • Regularly interact with immediate counterparts, other Accounts Payable departments, and Financial Analysts to provide team member support
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Field Office representatives and other internal contacts to resolve issues
  • Maintain familiarity with training guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements for streamlining in areas of responsibility
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
  • Proficiency in data entry and management
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in providing training on company procedures and policies
  • In-depth understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes
  • Ability to handle invoice processing and review
  • Familiarity with hiring processes and ad hoc financial tasks
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suites
  • Experience in performing verification tasks
  • Knowledge of SAP R/3 software
  • Ability to resolve issues promptly and effectively
  • Understanding of supply chain logistics
  • Ability to lead special projects and streamline processes
  • High level of proficiency in the use of spreadsheets
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in deskside support for technical issues
  • Knowledge of 'About Time' management software module
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail
