Job Description:

The role involves being an essential part of the accounting team, focusing on the daily processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial information.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately process and post accounts payable transactions on a daily basis
Ensure the company's financial information is up-to-date and precise
Handle vendor relations, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on credit memos
Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures in all A/P packages
Respond to inquiries from vendors and multiple entities in a timely manner
Assist in special projects and the preparation of year-end audit schedules
Maintain and update accounts payable files regularly
Process check requests with appropriate G/L coding and payments
Follow up on stale checks/outstanding checks with vendors as necessary
Continually focus on process improvement and increased efficiency in all accounting tasks

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role
Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience in Coding Invoices
Familiarity with Batch Processing
Proficient in Data Entry
Ability to Enter Vendor Invoices
Understanding of the Accounting Cycle
Experience in making Accounting Entries
