Job Description:

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will manage the accounts payable process, maintain vendor relationships, and support month-end close activities. You will also process a high volume of invoices in compliance with company policies and vendor terms.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
Enter invoices into Sage Intacct accurately, ensuring proper account classification and prompt payment processing
Conduct regular account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and align with general ledger accounts
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely payments
Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers according to established schedules
Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies
Provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation and reconciliation of transactions
Collaborate with the accounting team to identify opportunities for process efficiencies, system enhancements, and best practices
Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries related to accounts payable

Requirements:

Proficiency in Account Coding
Mastery of Accounting Software Systems
Experience with ADP - Financial Services
Familiarity with Concur
Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
Ability to perform Accounting Functions
Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
Proven skills in Auditing
Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
Proficient in using Sage Intacct software
