Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable Clerk role involves processing customer credit applications, maintaining records, addressing customer inquiries, and reconciling accounts. Located near Hanover Park, Illinois, this position offers a salary between $45K-50K along with benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
Maintain precise records of customer credit
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise
Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required
Manage and screen incoming phone calls, providing callers with any requested information about the organization
Ensure daily dispatch of outgoing mail, including invoices and monthly statements
Sort and deliver incoming mail to relevant departments promptly, as incoming payments are time-sensitive for processing
Enter customer information into the company software in a timely and accurate manner
Update invoices and reconcile customer accounts by applying credits to invoices and taking payments from customers
Ensure a low aging balance on accounts and follow up with past due accounts

Requirements:

Proficiency in account reconciliation
Experience with accounts receivable (AR)
Strong background in billing procedures
Familiarity with cash applications
Previous experience in cash collections
Skilled in using Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis
Knowledge and experience in using SAP software is a plus

Nice to have:

Knowledge and experience in using SAP software
