We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in Columbia, Maryland. The role is primarily in the industry of operations where the individual will provide vital support to the team by taking over some of the busy work, thus allowing operators to focus on core tasks. The workplace will mostly involve using Cargo Wise for various administrative tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the first point of contact, answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service
Handle both inbound and outbound calls as needed
Carry out data entry tasks with high accuracy and efficiency
Manage email correspondence and ensure all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook for various administrative tasks
Scan and upload documents onto the system, ensuring they are correctly filed
Perform any other administrative responsibilities as requested by the team
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant role or similar
Proficiency in answering inbound calls, handling both inbound and outbound calls
Strong customer service skills, with a focus on providing consistent, high-quality support
Experience with data entry tasks, demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent email correspondence skills, able to communicate professionally and succinctly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience in document scanning, ensuring all documents are correctly digitized and filed
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining order and efficiency in the workplace
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
