Job Description:

Join our Omnicare closed-door pharmacy team as an Advanced Pharmacy Technician. Work in various pharmacy workstations to ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance are met for our patients. Responsibilities include order fulfillment, packaging and dispensing of medication, reviewing delivery orders, and coordinating stock rotations. The position requires certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician status, at least one year of experience as a pharmacy technician, and one year of experience working with sterile compounding.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure all medication needs and regulatory compliance are met for patients
Work in various pharmacy workstations
Partner with function supervisor to coordinate workflow
Rotate and work in various assigned pharmacy workstations
Receive product deliveries, pull and stage product for distribution, rotate stock, and coordinate activities with drivers
Perform physical inventories of medication
Provide PTO coverage in the IV department as needed

Requirements:

Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
One (1) or more years of experience working with sterile compounding required.

Nice to have:

Prior experience in the long-term care industry
Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
PTCB National Certification
Two (2) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience
