Job Description:

The role involves providing technical and business support for Citi applications, ensuring service stability, addressing risk, and collaborating with development teams for continuous improvement. Requires proficiency in Java, Cobol, APIs, and infrastructure systems such as Tandem and Linux.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provides technical and business support for users of Citi applications
  • Manages, maintains and supports applications in daily operations
  • Conducts start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handovers
  • Performs risk reconciliations and assesses risk and impact of production issues
  • Develops and maintains technical support documentation
  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives for application enhancements and problem resolution
  • Engages in post-implementation analysis to ensure system design and functionality
  • Participates in application releases through development, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborates with development and production support teams to prioritize bug fixes and tooling requirements
  • Operates with limited supervision and exercises independent judgment
  • Engages in coaching and training of new recruits
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations
  • Addresses risks and security issues
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders and vendors

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years experience in an Application Support role
  • Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
  • Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools
  • Good all-round technical skills
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to plan and organize workload
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders
  • Intermediate-advanced English
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java & Cobol
  • Expertise in infrastructure such as Tandem (Pathway Guardian/OSS Operative system and Linux, OHS/IIS)
  • Familiarity with APIs and Microservices
  • Experience with monitoring tools
