Job Description:

The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs. This intermediate-level position involves applications systems analysis, programming activities, consulting with users, analyzing vulnerabilities, and debugging applications.

Job Responsibility:

Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to define system enhancements
Consult with users and recommend programming solutions
Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues
Conduct testing and debugging
Serve as advisor or coach to lower-level analysts
Resolve issues by selecting solutions through technical experience
Assess risk and ensure compliance in business decisions
Operate with limited supervision
Act as SME to senior stakeholders.

Requirements:

2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry
Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
Programming skills (Java EE, .NET, CSS, HTML, JavaScript)
Knowledge of Oracle databases (PL/SQL)
Familiarity with technological architectures
Knowledge of software and operating systems (Windows/Unix)
Data analysis tools
Desirable knowledge in insurance processes (e.g., collections, basic accounting)
Desirable experience in technological project management and application support
Experience in team coordination for project execution
Experience in analysis, design, and development of applications.
