Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented AR/Cash Applications Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in cash application processing who thrives in a structured environment and enjoys problem-solving within accounts receivable functions.

Job Responsibility:

Apply daily cash receipts accurately and in a timely manner based on customer remittance details
Identify and document payment discrepancies to assist in resolving invoice variances
Support the Collections team by conducting payment research for past-due accounts
Ensure all cash receipts are posted by the month-end closing deadline
Perform account reconciliations and generate reports related to AR activity
Assist with additional projects and tasks as assigned by the AR Manager

Requirements:

High School Diploma required
Prior experience in cash application processing within an accounts receivable environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
SAP experience is a plus
Strong ability to accurately apply and reconcile payments
Ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives
Skilled at handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Willingness to learn new processes as the company continues to grow
Strong written and verbal communication
