A rare opportunity for an Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to take a range of unique, cutting edge health and safety equipment and associated service solutions to industrial, construction and utilities markets. Already a trusted supplier to a growing number of blue chip companies, my client is looking to further accelerate growth plans with this expansion position.
Job Responsibility:
Initially, this will be mainly a new business role, but in which you will keep the clients you bring on board to renew, develop and reap the financial rewards from
Selling at all levels from Health and Safety, Operations Manager / Director up to Managing Director with whom you will need the strength of personality to steer a business conversation, open up on their relevant business issues and influence with credibility and product knowledge
A multi visit sales process involving demonstrations and presentations
Using your knowledge and technical data and info to influence the sell which can involve a “duty of care for staff” and protection against litigation elements as well as efficiency and cost savings
The company has a lot of case studies and supporting technical data to help you in your sell to customers.
Requirements:
Ideally, have a proven track record in a field based sales environment ideally construction, industrial, utilities, councils or related e.g. horticultural, agricultural, grounds maintenance etc.
Be both a hunter and farmer, not afraid to knock on doors or pick up a phone but you will also be comfortable using modern sales techniques.
Have the ability to grow existing business whilst also winning new accounts
Ideally, have experience of dealing with multi site end users
Have the ability to learn and assimilate the relevant market knowledge and issues, product features, benefits and technical and legislative information is important.
What we offer:
Realistic and uncapped OTE £45k-£50k+ Year One, £55k- £60k thereafter
£5k Car Allowance, plus mileage
Full Out of Pocket expenses
Non-contributory Pension – 5% from company
BUPA after 3 month qualifying period
