Job Description:

Entry level management position that assists in leading the banquet staff while personally assisting in executing events based on requirements and standards. Assists in developing and directing team to provide consistent, high quality service.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in managing departmental inventories and assets
maintain attendance log for banquet employees
enforce sanitation levels
adhere to standards, policies, and procedures
ensure employee awareness of event phase portion of Meeting Planner Survey and Guest Satisfaction Scores
order supplies
use banquet beverage records to control liquor costs
schedule banquet service staff
lead shifts and participate in servicing events
interact with guests for feedback
handle guest problems and complaints
empower employees for excellent customer service
support departmental orientation program
observe service behaviors
review comment cards and guest satisfaction results
communicate and execute emergency procedures

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area

Nice to have:

Knowledge of food and wine pairings
cutting edge cuisine
overall event presentation
