Job Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team near the Bedford, Ohio area. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures. This role is crucial in ensuring legal and company accounting and financial guidelines are followed.

Job Responsibility:

Consolidate and prepare financial statements adhering to GAAP
Contribute to the development, evaluation, and preparation of budget reports
Assist in managing inventory controls, costing, and physical inventory management
Enforce adherence to accounting practices in line with internal controls, policies, GAAP, and legal guidelines
Collaborate with IT department to uphold financial records integrity and system processes
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable management
Generate and manage balance sheets, and analyze future earnings and expenses
Support the management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization
Aid in preparing for audits and using SAGE accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports
Coordinate with and prepare financial reports for the controller and upper management

Requirements:

Proficiency in auditing financial statements
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation
Capability of handling month-end close procedures
Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience with managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
Strong understanding of balance sheet account management
Proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliation
Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliation procedures
