Job Description:

This Assistant Controller position consists of regulating the day-to-day of the accounting staff and providing updates to the Controller. In this Assistant Controller role, you will utilize your problem solving skills by taking initiative to identity and resolve problems.

Job Responsibility:

Drive accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Additional duties as assigned
Consider and form Ad Hoc financial reports
Well-developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Ready different technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Assist implementation and assure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Ensure regular account reconciliation to completion
Steer the accounting team during the closing process to warrant deadlines are met
Assist to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, development, and regular assessment
Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Backfill for Controller as necessary
Create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Support the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

Requirements:

Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Profound knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Experience with Review Financial Statements
Demonstrated knowledge of Personal Financial Statements
Adeptness in Monthly Financial Statements
Knowledge of Analyze Financial Statements
Deep understanding of financial statements consolidation
Month end closings experience desired
Prepare Financial Statements experience preferred
CPA certification desired
Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards

Nice to have:

CPA certification
