Job Description:

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounting and control functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing support for strategic financial decisions. You will also have direct oversight of senior and staff accountants, ensuring the integrity of financial data, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
Conduct analyses and prepare financial statements for underlying investments
Direct the month-end and year-end closing processes
Manage the compliance with regulatory agency requirements
Coordinate and manage the implementation of accounting related software
Lead cash flow, profitability, and investment return analyses
Oversee financial data analysis for budgeting and planning
Engage with auditors, tax professionals, and other external partners
Oversee the Accounting department
Liaise with other reporting units within the organization

Requirements:

7 or more years of experience in a related role
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
Skilled in the use of Concur
Proficient in Crystal Reports
Knowledge of DCAA regulations and requirements
Strong understanding of general Accounting Functions
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Background in Auditing
Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively
Proficiency in Sage Intacct software
Experience in managing financial matters for Multifamily Properties
