Assistant Controller

• Utilize Accounting Theory knowledge to maintain and develop accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Oversee the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and forecasts for business needs
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
• Assist with the implementation of financial strategies and participate in key financial decisions
• Maintain a document system for financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting procedures
• Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance, promptly addressing and correcting discrepancies
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
• Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
• Provide insightful information and expectations to the company's leadership to aid in long-term and short-term decision-making

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in an Assistant Controller role or similar position
• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of Accounting Theory
• Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong leadership abilities and experience in managing a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with different teams within the organization
• High level of integrity and a strong understanding of ethical behavior and business practices
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and multitask effectively
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation would be considered an asset
• Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to accounting and taxation
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies and controls
