Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our company's accounting operations.

Job Responsibility:

Provide necessary training and support to the Director of Operations to alleviate some of the accounting workloads
Perform job costing tasks with a high level of accuracy and precision
Close books and prepare Flash Reports as required
Apply intermediate Excel skills to manage and analyze data
Leverage experience in the Manufacturing/Construction industry to improve cost accounting processes

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of detail-oriented experience in a similar role, preferably in the service industry
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
Extensive knowledge and experience in Cost Accounting is required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise a team
High ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
