Job Description:

The role of an Assistant Controller is crucial to our team. You will be involved in processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving any customer inquiries. Your role will also include monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
  • Maintain precise customer credit records
  • Organize and plan the monthly closing of accounts to meet department objectives
  • Guide and assist each department manager in the closing process
  • Analyze financial results or specific accounts as required
  • Identify and resolve any inaccuracies or imbalances in accounting information
  • Assist with system implementations and process improvements related to accounting and finance
  • Prepare financial statements and ad hoc management reports
  • Complete reconciliations and journal entries
  • Interface heavily with corporate executives and various internal departments
  • Provide advice and counsel for improvements in internal control
  • Ensure the department is complying with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Guide staff and educate newly hired employees
  • Ensure financial transactions are accurate, timely, and properly authorized
  • Identify any weaknesses in internal control and advise the Controller

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with Concur software
  • Ability to generate Crystal Reports
  • Knowledge of DCAA requirements
  • Proficiency in various Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Experience in Auditing processes
  • Ability to handle Billing Functions effectively
  • Experience in managing Multi Set of Books
  • Experience in a multi-site environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Full Cycle Accounting
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuous Process Improvement
