Job Description:

Assists in the execution of property events with a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales. Verifies the team meets the brand’s target customer needs, ensures employee satisfaction, focuses on growing event revenues and maximizes the financial performance of the department. Assists in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees and provides a return on investment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assists in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies
  • Reviews scheduled events and troubleshoots potential challenges/conflicts
  • Appriases the property of all groups that will impact property operations
  • Assists with the monitoring of event planning team
  • Assists in the execution of brand service initiatives in event management areas
  • Consults with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events
  • Works directly with high profile and high revenue groups
  • Displays leadership in guest hospitality
  • Communicates vision for service delivery in Event Management
  • Manages customer budgets
  • Champions all standards, policies and procedures
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback
  • Responds to and handles guest concerns
  • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Establishes guidelines for employee expectations
  • Encourages calculated risk-taking
  • Develops working relationships with outside vendors
  • Creates an atmosphere that meets or exceeds guest expectations
  • Works with Human Resources to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Ensures regular communication in event operations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • Japanese speaking and writing preferred
