Assistant Director of Sales at Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, supervising sales team, building client relationships, handling marketing initiatives, and preparing sales reports. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field, minimum 6-7 years of experience, strong leadership and communication skills, in-depth industry knowledge, fluency in English, and proficiency in hotel sales systems.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals
Identify and target potential business opportunities, including corporate accounts, travel agencies, and event planners
Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing, promotions, and occupancy rates
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly
Generate leads and convert them into long-term partnerships to maximize hotel bookings
Supervise and guide the sales team, ensuring they meet performance targets
Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the sales team
Foster a high-performance culture within the department
Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure long-term partnerships
Conduct site inspections and sales presentations for potential clients
Ensure exceptional guest experiences through proactive customer service and follow-ups
Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences
Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and packages
Develop digital and direct sales initiatives to increase brand visibility
Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management
Maintain accurate sales records and client databases
Ensure compliance with Marriott’s sales policies and standards
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 6-7 years of experience in hotels
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hotel operations, market trends, and competitor analysis
Language: Fluency in English is required
Arabic is a plus
Technology: Proficiency in hotel sales systems (such as Opera, Delphi, or similar CRM tools)
