This position is responsible for driving the vision of service and guest experience within food and beverage operations for Pier One Sydney Harbour, overseeing the development and implementation of initiatives that support the EAM F&B. The role ensures alignment with the brand’s service strategy and goals. It involves managing food and beverage product delivery and maintaining hotel standards across all areas of responsibility, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and banquet operations. The position supervises daily F&B operations, assists in menu planning (beverage), upholds sanitation standards, and provides support to servers and hosts during peak service periods. The role also ensures the operational arm of F&B meets guest expectations while promoting associate satisfaction. A key focus is on maximizing financial performance, as well as an ongoing effort to improve guest and associate satisfaction.
Job Responsibility:
Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee associates and ensure staffing levels meet service, operational, and financial goals while maintaining service and sanitation standards
Lead and Develop Team: Inspire, mentor, and coach the team, fostering trust and collaboration. Set clear goals, prioritize tasks, and ensure adherence to company policies
Ensure Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver high-quality service that exceeds guest expectations, empower associates to resolve concerns, and gather feedback to improve service quality
Maintain Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including liquor laws, health & safety standards, and food handling procedures
Human Resources Management: Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members, promoting skill development, retention, and morale
Financial Oversight: Manage financial aspects of the department, including purchasing, invoice management, and operational cost analysis
Support Peak Operations: Assist team members during peak service periods and ensure product quality and presentation standards are consistently met
Requirements:
3 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry
Demonstrated skills in adaptability, communication, problem solving and decision making and driven for results
You’ll think outside the box and have an open-minded personality
