Job Description:

Assistant Head of Primary position in Dubai starting August 2025 at an international school delivering IB and UK curricula, with a focus on inclusive student development, innovative teaching, and high academic expectations

Job Responsibility:

Deliver and lead the Primary team in delivery of the UK and IB curriculum incorporating innovative teaching methods that foster intellectual curiosity and a love of learning
Plan and execute creative, inclusive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, effectively addressing the diverse needs of all learners through differentiated instruction
Establish a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect, collaboration, and a genuine passion for learning
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and the broader school community to ensure each learner's holistic development and academic success
Contribute to school-wide events and initiatives
Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings and school events
Contribute to curriculum development initiatives and share best practices with colleagues

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Childhood Studies or a related to teaching subject
PGCE, QTS or appropriate Teaching License
At least 2 years' Senior leadership experience and a track record of raising standards
An understanding of the Early Years framework
A strong philosophy for teaching and learning, from Early Years to Key Stage
Experience in using Coaching and Mentoring strategies to drive Teaching and Learning
A working knowledge of the assessment systems of outstanding International schools, especially those within the UAE
Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in a classroom setting

Proven ability to design and implement engaging lessons
Expertise in adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs
Demonstrated success in creating an inclusive classroom environment
Strong understanding of literacy and mathematical skill development within a Secondary setting
Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and a collaborative spirit
Dedication to community engagement and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders
