Job Description:

Responsible for following established procedures in ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and payment of items. Assists in formulating an approved vendors list encompassing all categories.

Job Responsibility:

Assisting in managing work, projects, policies, and standards for purchasing across departments
Assisting Executive Chef in all aspects of purchasing
Orders all food and beverage based on business needs
Assists in enforcing first in/first out inventory rotation
Maintains sanitation and safety standards
Ensures proper safeguards for the security of food and beverage storeroom assets
Communicates with kitchen, restaurant management, and vendors
Checks invoice on goods received against shipment
Uses existing computer programs to perform daily and period end food and beverage costs
Maintains inventory controls
Completes administrative tasks
Completes period end inventory
Calculates figures for food and beverage inventory
Ensures accurate administration of all invoices
Demonstrates and applies accounting knowledge to purchasing operations
Maintains finance and accounting goals
Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates
Analyzes information and evaluates results
Interacts with kitchen staff, vendors, and Executive Chef
Attends and participates in all pertinent meetings
Provides direction and assistance to other organizational units
Informs and/or updates executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information

Requirements:

4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major
no work experience required
