Job Description:

Randstad are working with regional house builder, in their pursuit for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They are known for producing high quality housing developments throughout the South Yorkshire region. This is a great opportunity for a Trainee/Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a regional builder where you will gain more experience and have more responsibility.

Job Responsibility:

Assist with updating all cost control procedures
Assist with the compilation of all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Assist with accurate costing for each aspect of site development
Assist with compiling reports on costs and cash flows
Assist with preparation of tenders and procurement of sub-contractors
Process Subcontract orders, payments and variations, using Excel

Requirements:

Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail
Methodical, conscientious and organised
Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency with MS Office and Excel programs
Good standard of written English
Ability to generate professional correspondence unaided
Articulate, clear and credible
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Self-disciplined with good time management skills
BSc quantity surveying
Driving licence

Nice to have:

Dealing with sub contractors
