Job Description:

The Assistant Restaurant General Manager plays a significant role in maximizing financial performance and attracting hotel and non-hotel guests by understanding the local market and partnering with the culinary leadership to effectively position the outlet. The role involves supervising daily restaurant operations, assisting with menu planning, maintaining sanitation standards, and assisting servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods. The manager strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction, determines training needs, and implements plans to achieve goals.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise daily restaurant operations
assist with menu planning
maintain sanitation standards
assist servers and hosts during peak meal periods
improve guest and employee satisfaction
determine training needs
manage financial aspects including purchasing and payment of invoices
oversee marketing and public relations activities
manage human resource and talent management activities
ensure excellent customer service

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area

Nice to have:

Understanding of local market
ability to partner with culinary leadership
experience in financial performance optimization
knowledge of food & beverage policies, standards, and procedures
leadership and coaching skills
ability to manage day-to-day operations
experience in marketing/public relations/media activities
