Job Description:

Entry-level management position responsible for daily operations in Restaurants/Bars. Position assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards, assists servers and hosts on the floor during peak meal periods, and supervises Restaurants/Bars and Room Service Departments. Responsibilities include ensuring guest and associate satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget. Accountable to ensure standards and legal obligations are followed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as a departmental role model or mentor
  • Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time
  • Ensure that hourly employees are trained on company core values, job roles, responsibilities, and technical and service aspects of the job
  • Encourage and motivate employees to perform their best
  • Assist management to ensure that hourly employees have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs
  • Assist management in establishing and communicating goals, performance expectations, timetables and deadlines
  • Coach and develop employees
  • Listen to hourly employees' suggestions for improving how work is done and how guests are served
  • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments
  • Collaborate with management to develop and carry-out ideas and procedures
  • Ensure all daily and monthly reports are detailed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Ensure maintenance of equipment
  • Report guest’s comments or complaints
  • Raise Purchase request in a timely manner
  • Update checkbook
  • Assist management with scheduling
  • Ensure that opening and closing check lists are done and completed each day
  • Work closely with management in leading the monthly beverage inventory
  • Train outlet cashiers with proper cash handling
  • Maintain proper inventory worksheet of all operational equipment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-year experience of a similar position within a five-star hotel
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 2 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
