Job Description:

The attorney will provide legal counsel and support across a range of corporate and transactional matters, with a focus on supporting the foundation's grantmaking and other philanthropic activities.

Job Responsibility:

Advise on grantmaking programs, including due diligence, contract negotiation, and compliance
Support investment activities, including reviewing investment agreements
Advise on real estate transactions and corporate governance matters
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements and service contracts
Conduct legal research and analysis
Assist with compliance and risk management, specifically with outside counsel for occasional litigation matters

Requirements:

J.D. degree from an accredited law school
2+ years of licensed experience as a lawyer at a foundation (public or private)
Strong knowledge of commercial contracts
Experience managing litigation is a plus
Ability to commute to Irvine 2-3x/week
Admission to the California State Bar
