Job Description:

This individual will play a critical role in managing legal cases, representing clients in construction disputes, drafting legal documents, and offering legal advice. This role is within the construction/contractor industry.

Job Responsibility:

Manage a variety of construction litigation cases
Represent clients in legal proceedings, arguing motions when necessary
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, contracts, and legal opinions
Conduct and defend depositions to gather and present relevant information
Handle complaints and civil litigation matters
Utilize legal software and LexisNexis for research and case management
Offer legal advice to clients regarding construction disputes
Collaborate with team members to ensure a comprehensive legal approach
Maintain knowledge of current laws, regulations, and industry trends related to construction law
Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve successful outcomes for clients

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of law, specifically in construction or contract law
Proficiency in using legal software for research and case management
Familiarity with LexisNexis for legal research and case preparation
Proficiency in management systems for organizing and tracking cases
Experience with briefing and presenting cases
Knowledge of civil litigation processes and procedures
Experience in handling complaints and resolving disputes
Experience in construction litigation, particularly in defending and arguing cases
Proficiency in conducting depositions and defending depositions
Excellent legal writing skills for drafting legal documents, correspondences, and reports
Experience in drafting, arguing, and defending motions in court
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar Association
