Job Description:
Lead the execution of a wide range of audit assignments across various sectors. Ensure proper planning for all audits, briefing staff in advance on the specific risks associated with each assignment. Prepare high-quality financial statements and audit reports, providing actionable recommendations to address identified risk issues and control weaknesses, with clear supporting justifications. Manage multiple audits simultaneously, ensuring optimal use of time and resources. Foster strong working relationships with client teams across departments to facilitate and support the audit process. Keep the Partner consistently informed about significant issues, progress, and challenges throughout the assignment. Deliver audits to a high standard, ensuring compliance with FRS102 and Irish GAAP, addressing key risks, and adhering to established timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Understand and adhere to the role's authority levels and ensure full compliance with the Firm's policies, procedures, and regulations. Support the manager with the supervision, on-the-job training, and mentoring of junior staff, and actively participate in Performance Management initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of practical experience in audit
  • Strong understanding of risk, Irish GAAP, FRS102, CA2014, and awareness of current issues
  • Solid knowledge of developing audit strategies and Terms of Engagement for individual assignments
  • In-depth technical knowledge of FRS102, Irish and UK GAAP, and CA2014
  • Proven ability to handle a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
