Job Description:

We’re looking for a skilled Chef to join our care home team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring our residents enjoy high-quality, well-balanced meals every day.

Job Responsibility:

prepare, cook, and serve meals
plan menus with Head Chef
organize and control food production
maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
maintain accurate records of food supplies
monitor freezer and fridge temperatures
ensure stock rotation
assist in ordering supplies
check deliveries
conduct stock valuations
uphold statutory Health & Safety standards
clean and store crockery and equipment properly

Requirements:

City & Guilds 706 - 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification
working towards culinary qualification
ability to work effectively within a team
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
good communication skills
understanding residents’ dietary needs
ability to work independently
ability to take the lead in the kitchen when required

Nice to have:

experience in preparing food for specific needs
experience working in a care environment
