Job Description:

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and meticulous Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our legal team in Seattle. This role primarily involves the review of cases for meetings of creditors, handling court motion calendars, and communicating with debtor attorneys. This position plays a crucial role in our legal department, offering an enriching experience in the legal industry.

Job Responsibility:

Review cases for meetings of creditors to ensure all necessary information is present and accurate
Set up initial clerical cases in an organized and efficient manner
Handle and file declarations of mailing for pleadings and other necessary documents
Monitor court motion calendar, including keeping track of response deadlines
Review pleadings to determine if our company needs to respond
Communicate effectively with debtor attorneys regarding their clients’ cases
Review amended plans to ensure they comply with the Bankruptcy Code
Utilize the computer bankruptcy program (BSS) to obtain information and make discretionary changes
Route amended plans and process amended wage deductions on direct pay letters as needed
Review amended schedules to ensure they are accurate and complete

Requirements:

2+ YOE as a Paralegal
Experience handling voluminous caseload in Immigration, Personal Injury, or Bankruptcy Law
