Job Description:

The Banquets Aide position at San Jose Marriott involves maintaining cleanliness and organization in banquet areas, assisting with setup and breakdown of events, and ensuring guest satisfaction. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and company standards.

Job Responsibility:

Complete final breakdown of function by cleaning the room and returning equipment
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
Transport dirty linen to correct area to be cleaned
Assist other departments when needed
Follow all company and safety policies
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
Support team to reach common goals
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 75 pounds with assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
