Job Description:

The Banquets Entry Level Cook at The Westin Charlotte is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking food according to recipes, operating kitchen equipment, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and teamwork.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes
  • Operate kitchen equipment
  • Monitor food quality
  • Set-up and break down work station
  • Serve food in proper portions
  • Wash and disinfect kitchen area
  • Follow safety and security policies
  • Maintain cleanliness and professionalism
  • Develop positive working relationships
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Perform physical tasks as required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • No license or certification required
