Job Description:

The Bar Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bar area, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to guests. The role involves physical tasks, adherence to safety and company policies, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. The position requires no prior experience or certifications, making it accessible to individuals looking to start a career in luxury hospitality.

Job Responsibility:

Complete opening and closing duties
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
Remove soiled wares from bar top and tables
Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas
Follow company and safety policies
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Welcome and acknowledge guests
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Ability to read and visually verify information in small print
Ability to follow company and safety policies
Ability to maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas
Ability to welcome and acknowledge guests
Ability to speak clearly and professionally
Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
Ability to adhere to quality expectations and standards
