Job Description:

The Barista Service Expert at The St. Regis Aruba Resort is responsible for completing opening and closing duties, setting up and maintaining work areas, taking and preparing orders, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent guest service. The role requires adherence to company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations. The position is full-time and onsite.

Job Responsibility:

Complete opening and closing duties
Set up, stock, and maintain work areas
Input orders into cash register system and collect payment
Take orders, record in MICROS system, and prepare food and coffee beverages
Ensure appliances are turned on/off at appropriate times
Bus coffee cart areas and tables
Clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables, and equipment
Obtain change required for expected business level
Count bank at end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
Follow company and safety policies
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions
Complete safety training and certifications
Maintain uniform and personal appearance
Welcome and acknowledge guests
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs
Assist individuals with disabilities
Thank guests with genuine appreciation
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships
Support team to reach common goals
Ensure adherence to quality expectations
Read and visually verify information
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects
Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
No related work experience
No supervisory experience
No license or certification required
