We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Benefits Analyst in ENGLEWOOD, Colorado, United States. As a part of our team, you will be working in the financial services industry, utilizing your skills in processing claims, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries. You will also analyze benefits plans and provide client-focused solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Manages and maintains assigned book of business
Ensures compliance with relevant regulations
Develop and maintain key relationships critical to the sales process
Negotiate with carrier contacts to seek competitive options for clients
Prepares requests for proposals (RFP’s) for submissions to market
Collaborates with insurance carriers and vendors for renewals
Analyze current benefits for coverage, cost, and plan utilization
Prepare renewal presentation
Provide analysis of benchmarking, data analytics, network disruption
Recommend cost containment strategies
Manage outsourcing of vendors
Build custom financial/utilization reports
Stay updated on market competitiveness and rate trends
Supports data audits
Works with medium to large clients who are fully insured and self-funded.
Requirements:
Life and Health license for the State of Colorado required
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
Proven experience as an Analyst or similar role in the employee benefits insurance industry for 3+ years required
Working knowledge of group health and welfare plans and regulations, including but not limited to ERISA, Cobra, HIPAA, ACA, HSA, ICHRA, Section 125, etc.
Exposure to underwriting and health and welfare financial analysis preferred
Basic to intermediate knowledge of underwriting and statistical concepts and benefit plan design
Acquire and maintain current Life and Health license from the State of Colorado
Prior experience in broker agency, carrier, vendor or administering employee benefits in HR
Intermediate level proficiency in using Microsoft applications required as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Demonstrate a genuine passion for acquiring new knowledge and skills, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices
Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple client and responsibilities concurrently
Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to set goals, exchange ideas, and drive results
Willingness to embrace change, adjust goals as needed, and learn from setbacks to continually improve performance
Thorough knowledge of health and ancillary products
Familiarity and practical knowledge of quoting process and tools preferred.
