Job Description:

We are offering a temporary to permanent employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the transport industry, located in Roseville, Minnesota. This role involves maintaining financial data and processing customer transactions accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of our billing functions.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure timely consolidation and creation of customer invoices, taking into account all services performed by agencies involved in the shipment and authorized by the account
Efficiently process customer credit applications
Accurately maintain customer credit records
Utilize Excel Estimator Worksheets to input all services on each shipment during invoice creation
Regularly update billing logs in the Direct Billing database
Scan completed invoices into Solomon upon invoice completion and delivery to the customer
Monitor customer accounts and resolve customer inquiries through effective communication
Review scanned documents from all agencies for each customer shipment
Adhere to strict deadlines for invoicing, ensuring no invoice is sent later than 30 days from the date of shipment delivery

Requirements:

Proficient in various billing processes and functions, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
Demonstrable experience in electronic billing systems to streamline workflow
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to utilize complex formulas
Proven ability to handle and approve invoices, ensuring all transactions are valid and up-to-date
Experience in coding invoices, with a keen eye for detail to ensure correct categorization
Familiarity with the transport industry, with a strong understanding of its unique billing requirements
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to achieving departmental goals
