Job Description:

We are in search of a Billing Clerk to join our team in the non-profit sector, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. In this role, you will be handling a variety of tasks that involve customer service, accounting, and administrative duties. You will be utilizing your skills to ensure the smooth functioning of our financial operations.

Job Responsibility:

Accurately processing customer credit applications
Maintaining precise records of customer credit
Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner
Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions
Proficiently utilizing accounting software systems for various tasks
Handling computerized billing processes efficiently
Managing accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable
Answering inbound calls and providing excellent customer service
Handling Medicaid billing processes as per the guidelines
Providing support to our childcare initiatives with your expertise in Blackbaud software

Requirements:

Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
Experience with Computerized Billing
Understanding and execution of Accounting Functions
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to handle Answering Inbound Calls professionally
Familiarity with Medicaid Billing procedures
Experience in Childcare sector, preferably in a non-profit setting
Proficiency in using Blackbaud software for non-profit management
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Adherence to confidentiality and data protection procedures
Relevant certification or degree in Accounting or related field is desirable
Previous experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector would be advantageous
