Job Description:

We are currently seeking a meticulous and organized individual to join our finance team as a Bookkeeper with experience in the Education field. The ideal candidate will bring a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, and a passion for contributing to the success of our educational institution. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Bookkeeper will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the fiscal health of our institution.

AP/AR
Student Billing
General Ledger Maintenance
Payroll Support
Financial Reporting
Budget Assistance
Purchasing & Expense Management
Record Keeping & Documentation
Financial Systems Management

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required
associate degree or certification in accounting/bookkeeping preferred
2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in an educational setting
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting principles
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information
