Job Description:

Robert Half is searching for Bookkeepers for local ongoing opportunities in the Westlake Village CA area. The ideal Bookkeeper possesses strong social skills and a collaborative work style. Some of your main job duties will include processing accounts payable and accounts, receivable, managing bank reconciliation and payroll processing, posting journal entries. Must have at least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper and must have experience with an accounting software in addition to Excel (ex: QuickBooks/Peachtree). If you combine dynamic communication skills with a positive attitude and a professional demeanor, then you may thrive in this position.

Job Responsibility:

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
Managing bank reconciliation and payroll processing
Posting journal entries
Developing a well-organized system to account for financial transactions
Maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Balancing accounts by reconciling entries
Maintaining and balancing general ledger
Maintaining quality historical records by filing documents
Preparing financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Crafting Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received and recording deposits

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy
Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively
Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused attitude

Nice to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
