Job Description:

Randstad Digital is currently working with one of Queensland’s largest employers to find a Business Analyst to join their team on a contract for 6-months, with the view to extend past that point.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage projects using Waterfall methodology, ensuring structured development and clear documentation at each stage, while also applying Agile methodologies (HCD, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe) for flexible and iterative project management
  • Implement BDD and TDD practices to enhance collaboration, code quality, and alignment with business needs
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, documenting requirements, providing project updates, and facilitating the adoption of new processes through Organisational Change Management (OCM) initiatives
  • Lead requirements analysis, scoping, and planning to define clear project objectives, and develop Business Cases to justify proposed initiatives by outlining benefits, costs, and risks
  • Elicit and document requirements using BABOK techniques, including User Stories, Use Cases, and JAD sessions, while ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Business, Functional, Non-Functional Requirements, and Business Rules, while preparing RFP, RFT, and RFQ documentation to select vendors
  • Develop and manage Test Strategies, Plans, and Test Scripts to ensure thorough testing, overseeing Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet user expectations and project requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst (with 2-3 years of Digital BA experience), with focus on digital solutions
  • Experience in end-to-end digital solution implementation including design, build, data flow mapping, integrations, etc.
  • Experience in government with a focus on customer experience (CX) or product innovation
  • Proven track record of implementing successful design thinking projects that have led to measurable business outcomes
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Highly skilled in using Jira and Confluence
