Job Description:

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Business Analyst in Tallahassee, Florida. In this role, you will be a key member of our development team, working closely with multiple business units to perform comprehensive business and systems analysis tasks. Your focus will be on ensuring thorough documentation, testing, and achievement of requirements, while also providing oversight for team activities.

Job Responsibility:

Conduct detailed research to understand the business processes of the department
Facilitate joint analysis workshops with various business units
Gather and document both business and technical requirements in a clear and concise manner
Collaborate with technical and functional teams to develop technical specifications and other supporting documents
Coordinate and lead the activities of the development team, ensuring efficient and effective operations
Oversee and manage data migration and development teams
Create detailed use cases, business rules, and requirements to guide project development
Develop comprehensive test plans and execute test cases and scripts, ensuring all aspects of the system are thoroughly tested
Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing and Regression Testing, ensuring all issues are addressed and resolved
Track bugs and backlog items using Microsoft DevOps, ensuring a swift resolution
Provide daily updates to the Project Management Team, ensuring they are informed of project progress
Perform oversight reviews of deliverables for compliance with department standards

Requirements:

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
Understanding and knowledge of compliance requirements and regulations
Proven experience in research and data analysis
Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration tasks
Demonstrated ability to design and implement business processes
Proven project management skills
Ability to manage and liaise with various stakeholders
Experience in configuration management
Knowledge and experience in business analysis techniques
Demonstrated oversight and leadership capabilities
Familiarity with deliverable creation and management
Knowledge of R Code is a plus
Understanding of business process functions and business units
Experience in transportation services sector is a plus
Ability to perform regression analysis
Familiarity with DevOps and software development practices
Experience in bug tracking and backlog grooming
Creativity and problem-solving skills to develop effective business solutions

Nice to have:

Knowledge of R Code
Experience in transportation services sector
