Job Description:

The BI Engineer will be responsible for building and adjusting data tables, providing actionable insights from data analysis, and working with various legacy systems. This role requires a strong understanding of Microsoft Power Platform and SQL, and experience with DB and Data modeling.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and adjust data tables to meet project requirements
  • Analyze data and provide actionable insights to support business decision making
  • Collaborate closely with internal business members to understand and solve business problems
  • Utilize Microsoft Power Platform and SQL to handle data and reporting tasks
  • Ensure all requests for data, reporting, and analysis are logged and addressed efficiently
  • Work through various legacy systems to extract and analyze necessary data
  • Collaborate with data architecture team to troubleshoot complex data issues
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Join disparate data sets to uncover actionable insights
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools and methodologies
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Business Intelligence role within the manufacturing industry
  • Proven experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and data visualization
  • Familiarity with BI technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Ability to translate complex data sets into clear and actionable insights
  • Proficient in writing SQL queries and understanding of database structures
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively explain possible solutions to non-technical team members
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
