Job Description:

The Business Risk and Control Officer is a strategic professional responsible for governance, risk assessments, control monitoring, and compliance with enterprise policies. The role requires extensive experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Responsibility:

help contribute to governance and the facilitation of the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) as required by the MCA Standard including risk approval
support teams in implementation of the Control Framework
assist in performing analysis of issue root cause and recommending corrective actions
contribute to monitoring of control breaches and dissemination of learnings for process improvement
support review and challenge processes on controls within FLUs
help monitor adherence to the MCA Standard through controls
assist in identifying, assessing, escalating, and managing risk exposures across categories
contribute to governance and training for managing risk profiles
support risk scenario analysis and assessments
coordinate risk and control responsibilities within FLUs and provide training
apply business knowledge to implement control points and processes
appropriately assess risk during business decisions
ensure compliance with policies and report control issues transparently

Requirements:

10+ years of experience
MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus
5+ years’ experience in financial services
consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
effective organizational influencing skills required
third party vendor management preferred
demonstrated ability to lead global team efforts
excellent problem-solving skills
ability to comprehend the big pictures with high attention to critical details
demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives
