Job Description:

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Buyer in the service industry, located in STRONGSVILLE, Ohio. As a Buyer, your primary responsibilities will include overseeing purchasing activities, managing high volume purchasing in a fast-paced environment, and utilizing SAP for operations.

Job Responsibility:

Implementing and managing purchasing functions in a high-paced and high-volume setting
Utilizing SAP for various purchasing activities
Prioritizing and organizing tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations
Employing strong time management skills to meet deadlines and targets
Monitoring and taking necessary actions on customer accounts
Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
Maintaining accurate customer credit records
Resolving customer inquiries promptly and professionally

Requirements:

Proven experience in the service industry, particularly in a buyer or similar role
Demonstrable knowledge of purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and procurement
Familiarity with purchasing functions, such as order placement, supplier relationship management, and inventory control
Proficiency in using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
Strong analytical skills to evaluate suppliers, products, and services
Excellent communication skills to negotiate effectively with suppliers and communicate with internal teams
Ability to work independently and make informed buying decisions
Attention to detail in order to ensure accuracy in order placement and inventory management
Good organizational skills for effectively managing multiple suppliers and products
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
