Job Description:

We are in search of a Cash Application Specialist to contribute to our team in Garland, Texas. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Cash Application Specialist, you will be tasked with handling customer applications, maintaining customer records with accuracy, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be tasked with monitoring customer accounts and implementing appropriate actions.

Job Responsibility:

Carry out research and resolve outstanding discrepancies in cash application within accounting software systems
Manage large datasets in software systems, leveraging tools such as pivot tables to reconcile accounts receivable balances
Engage with internal teams and external contacts to address payment discrepancies
Navigate through multiple financial systems and portals to locate and verify transactions
Contribute to the analysis and generation of reports from various databases to track the progress of cash application
Advocate for and support improvements in the process of cash application and accounts receivable reconciliation
Use accounting software systems to research, reconcile, and apply cash to accounts
Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external contacts to resolve outstanding balances
Assist in analyzing and pulling reports from various databases to monitor cash application progress
Handle large datasets in software systems, using tools to reconcile accounts receivable balances

Requirements:

5 years of Cash Applications experience is a must
Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory
Familiarity with Blackline is a significant advantage
Demonstrable skills in Data Processing are required
Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions is vital
Expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential
Ability to monitor and manage Cash Activity effectively is required
