Job Description:

The Category Manager is an individual contributor position that procures hardware/services for the buildout of T-Mobile Cloud. It will negotiate and maintain commercial terms and contracts with hardware suppliers. The Category Manager owns and drives strategic sourcing initiatives including Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Requests for Information (RFI). It will also help drive T-Mobile's strategic direction within the T-Mobile Cloud category. The Category Manager leads and supports cross-functional sourcing groups, ensuring supplier performance, and drives strategic sourcing initiatives which includes sourcing plan management, supplier issue tracking/resolution, project status communication and risk assessment.

Job Responsibility:

Competitively source server/cloud hardware and services spend through RFI, RFP and RFQ processes and evaluate and score responses
Liaise with technical personnel to develop and interpret technical specifications to commercial and corporate financial requirements
Drafting, negotiating and executing contractual documents including but not limited to master service agreements, statements of work, letter agreements, and purchase orders
Maintain understanding of global supply chain impacts/challenges that impact server hardware supply
Summarize and present business cases and agreements for executive review and approval

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree Business, Finance, Technology or Engineering
4-7 years experience in a technology sourcing, engineering, or similar role
4-7 years experience managing technical requirement gathering
4-7 years experience contracting SOWs or like documents
