Job Description:

A Catering Assistant role providing courteous and efficient catering service to patients, staff, and visitors, ensuring standards in food safety, hygiene, and customer service. Tasks include preparing food, cleaning equipment, operating a cash register, and assisting with vending services.

Job Responsibility:

Provide a courteous and efficient catering service to patients, staff, and visitors
Prepare and serve food to customers in a professional manner
Clean catering equipment, floors, work surfaces, and related equipment manually and by machine
Assist in the delivery of the function and vending service within time constraints
Operate a cash register and handle cash safely
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
Complete documentation and work records accurately
Report equipment faults to a supervisor
Store goods correctly and use stock efficiently to minimize food wastage
Support and train other staff as needed
Participate in team meetings
Undertake other ad hoc duties within scope of skill and capability

Requirements:

Catering experience
Basic or Enhanced DBS
In-date Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
Valid DBS
Clean and presentable
Relevant catering experience
